Health and fitness have always been a big part of my life, but never more than now……
I’ve always been sporty. At school I played netball and hockey and was a keen swimmer. I continued swimming when I headed off to University. But University also brought weight gain; weight gain that I struggled to shift in the years that followed.
So at the age of (almost) 40, and after having 3 children, I realised something needed to change. I was overweight, unfit and constantly tired. I had lost my self-confidence. And when I looked in the mirror I realised I didn’t love the person looking back at me.
I wanted to shed some pounds. I wanted to feel confident in my body again. And, most importantly, I wanted to improve my fitness and my energy levels.
That was 2013.
Since that light-bulb moment I have educated myself in gym-based training and nutrition, and I’ve found my passion! A passion that led me to qualify as a personal trainer and certified nutritionist. And a passion that I want to share with you.
More recently I have found the power of meditation, gratitude practices, journaling, self-care, ‘me’ time and a truly holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
